"No matter what happens now, I know that for a moment there was magic. I look forward to taking that magic with us, and touching hearts around the world" - Dani, one of the singers for Sweetwater Rose

Here are some comments from audience participants:

"Thanks for reminding me of what music in Nashville is all about."

"You Ladies are so happening! "

"You captured what I love about music, charm, style, and beautiful melodies and harmonies with great songs!"

" I'm an instant fan!"

" A breath of happy surprise that you are so great and unique!"

"The room was packed and you could actually feel the room buzz!! The sound guy was singing the songs, people were happy, smiling, moving. The band was incredible, and Sweetwater Rose took the stage after an introduction by Katie Cook, from CMT. Full force was there with songs, vocals, sound, and performance from the first notes that came out of those lovely ladies. You could tell the ladies were having some fun, and the audience was listening to every note."

Welcome

Sweetwater Rose is a group of four incredibly talented singers and songwriters from Nashville and beyond (Dani Carroll, LaLa Deaton, Marna Taylor, and Ali Sperry). Each have their own beautiful unique voice, but it is their chemistry together that really makes magic.

Diane Gayden (wife and partner of legendary Nashville musician and producer Mac Gayden) brought them all together as a result of an inspiring dream. (Read her story in the Bio section).

Instead of using the standard formula session players, they brought together musicians reflecting the influences of each member of Sweetwater Rose. And what a fantastic group of musicians these are!

Sam Bush on mandolin (formerly of the New Grass Revival and now a great artist on his own), Dan Dugmore from Linda Ronstadt’s band on pedal steel, Byron House (from Sam Bush’s band and Lucinda Williams) on bass,  Steve Latanation (of Josh Rouse and Matthew Ryan) on drums,  Scott Vestal on banjo, and Mac Gayden on guitars and slide guitar.

Mac brought the group into one of the best sounding rooms - Nashville Studio 19 (that Scotty Moore of Elvis’s band built). Many legendary performers recorded here, such as great Arthur Gunther and John R, Joe Simon albums. Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney also cut in this room. This studio has been time tested and has a great sound, and really proved to be an excellent room to bring out the talents of Sweetwater Rose.

What came out of that room was magical, and we are sure you will agree. Check out some sample cuts on the Listen page.
